Aube Nouvelle University opened its doors in October 1992 under the name "Institut Supérieur d'Informatique et de Gestion - ISIG" (Higher Institute of Computing and management). When it opened, it had 30 students. Thirty years later, it has 7200 students and is positioned as the largest private university in Burkina Faso.

Since 2005, due to the quality of its teaching and the easy integration of its graduates into the job market, it has started to welcome students from other African countries. To date, it has 27 nationalities in its student body.

In 2012, the increase in the number of students and courses of study (64) led ISIG-International to become a university and to be called "Université Aube Nouvelle" (New Dawn University).

The New Dawn University is located in two cities of Burkina Faso: Ouagadougou and Bobo - Dioulasso. It has obtained the authorization to open a campus in the third city of Burkina Faso (Koudougou) and has been approached by Polytechnique Med'Sup of Gabon to establish a campus in Libreville in 2023-2024.

Multidisciplinary since its creation in October 1992, Aube Nouvelle University has always been committed to developing interdisciplinary training and research projects and to cultivating its openness to the world with the signing of more than twenty (20) cooperation agreements with foreign and national universities, including Florida International University in the United States, UQO and UQAM in Canada, the Universities of Nantes, Bordeaux and Centrale Lille in France, Munich and Stuttgart in Germany, Gaston Berger in Senegal.

This vast network allows students to enhance their studies and offers teachers opportunities for various collaborations in research and training. It is one of the few universities in Burkina Faso to have its training and teaching evaluated by its students.

The recent academic achievements include the following:
• Success rate in three-year Bachelor's degree: 89% (all fields combined);
• Success rate in Master's degree in two years: 91% (all fields combined);
• Professional integration after obtaining a Bachelor's or Master's degree: 75%.

The last distinction to date which testifies to the interest that employers have in U-AUBEN is the award in June 2022 by the Burkina Faso Employers Association of the trophy of "The Most Successful Institution in the Education Sector".
