Dzhambulat Saidumov is the Doctor of Law, Associate Professor, Expert of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Honored Scientist of the Chechen Republic, Chief Researcher of the Scientific Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

In 1997, according to the results of the Republican Olympiad “Science – 97” held among graduates of secondary schools of the Chechen Republic in history, he took the 1st place, and was admitted without entrance examination to the Faculty of Law of Chechen State University.

In 2002, for special success in his studies at the Faculty of Law of Chechen State University, he became the first in the Chechen Republic to receive a scholarship from the President of the Russian Federation.

In 2003, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Law of the Chechen State University.

In 2004, Dzhambulat Saidumov was accepted as a legal adviser of the Republican Information Agency "Grozny-inform". After 7 months of work in this agency, by order of the Minister for Foreign Relations, National Policy, Press and Information, for the professional success he was transferred from this structural unit to the apparatus of the Ministry, to the position of Assistant Minister (in this position he worked until December 2007). Working in the system of this Ministry, he was actively involved in analytical journalism. Member of the Union of Journalists of Russia (2005), his class rank is the 3rd class Public Civil Service Advisor.

In 2005, he entered the postgraduate course at Dagestan State University (DSU).

In 2006, he defended his Ph.D. thesis at the Dissertation Council of Dagestan State University.

Since 2007 he is a Senior Researcher at the Comprehensive Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (KNII, RAS).

From 2008 to 2013 he was the Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the ChSPI, the Head of the Information and Analytical Service of the ChSPI.

Teaching since 2008 (Chechen State Pedagogical Institute).

From 2008 to 2014 Dr. Saidumov was the Head of the Sector of the Chechen Encyclopedia of the Academy of Sciences of the Chechen Republic, and also a Leading Researcher of the Institute of Humanities of the Academy of Sciences of the Chechen Republic.

In 2015, he defended his doctoral dissertation at the National Research University “Higher School of Economics”.

Since 2015 Dr. Saidumov is the Chief Researcher of the Academy of Sciences of the Chechen Republic, Scientific Secretary of the Institute for Humanitarian Research of the Academy of Sciences of the Chechen Republic.

Since 2016 he is the Chief Researcher at KNII, the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Awards and achievements

In 2008, Dzhambulat Saidumov was awarded a Diploma by the Minister of Internal Affairs for the Chechen Republic.

In 2009, he became a laureate of the prize of the Regional Public Organization “Intellectual Center of the Chechen Republic” in the nomination "Young Intellectual".

In 2009, he took the 2nd place in the Republican competition "Scientific and Technical Creative Youth of the Chechen Republic - 2009" in the nomination "Scientific Research Projects of Youth" in the field of the Humanities and Socio-Economic Sciences "NTTM CHR-2009".

In 2010 Dr. Saidumov became a winner of the Republican competition "Scientific and Technical Creative Youth of the Chechen Republic - 2010" in the nomination "Humanitarian Project" ("Some Theses for the Concept of Youth Policy in the Chechen Republic").

In 2010, he was awarded a Certificate of Honor, a badge, and a Letter of Thanks from the Parliament of the Chechen Republic.

In 2011, by the decree of the Head of the Chechen Republic Dr. Saidumov was awarded the high title "Honored Scientist of the Chechen Republic".

In 2012, he became the first in the modern history of the Chechen Republic as an Associate Professor in his specialty (a title awarded to research workers).

In 2015, by the decision of the Council of the Intellectual Center of the Chechen Republic, he was awarded the diploma and the medal "For Professional Honor".

In 2016, by the Order of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences he was awarded the status of Expert of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Saidumov has made a significant contribution to the study of statehood issues in Chechnya:

• Traditional and civil society, their comparative ratio;

• Investigation of issues of combating international terrorism and extremism;

• Regional constitutional judicial system.

According to the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) scientometric database, he is the author of 181 scientific publications with Hirsch index 9.

Compiled the collection of the Constitutions of the Chechen Republic (co-authored with Kh.M. Dadaev).

For the development of the first commentary on the Constitution of the Chechen Republic, Dr. Saidumov was awarded the Order "For the Development of Parliamentarism in the Chechen Republic" (2013).

A landmark scientific event in 2014 was the publication of 2 fundamental works:

• The 13th volume "Anthology of Monuments of the Rights of the Chechen People" was prepared and published in Rostov-on-Don under Dr. Saidumov’s editorship. The volume is included in the multivolume series "Anthology of the Rights of the Peoples of the Caucasus";

• The monograph "Court, Law, and Justice among the Chechens and Ingush (XVIII-XX centuries)" was published, Grozny, 2014.

He was awarded with the Certificate of Honor of the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of the Chechen Republic for high professional achievements (2017).

In 2018, by order of the Chairman of the Government of the Chechen Republic, Dr. Saidumov was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Government of the Chechen Republic for impeccable, conscientious work and high professionalism displayed in the line of duty.
