The Scientist of the Year International Competition recognizes scientific excellence and leadership across a broad range of disciplines. categories and subcategories are aligned with internationally accepted research classification standards and reflect the current landscape of modern science, technology, medicine, and scholarship.
Applicants are required to select one primary category that best represents the core focus of their contribution at the time of submission. Interdisciplinary work should be classified according to the primary field of contribution. Final disciplinary alignment may be refined during the review process to ensure accurate classification.
Category selection does not determine the form or level of recognition, nor does it influence evaluation outcomes.

Recognition Categories and Distinctions
The Competition confers both Scientific recognitions (such as Scientific Laureate) and Honorary recognitions for academic or scientific leadership (such as Honorary Scientific or Academic Advisor).
