Professor Dr. Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov has been working in the field of education for 40 years.

He graduated from Kyrgyz State University 50th anniversary of the USSR, Faculty of History, in 1987. In 1991, he completed his postgraduate studies at the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz USSR.

Dr. Abdyrakhmanov has worked as a Professor, Department Chair, Dean, and Vice-Rector. Since 2010, he has been the Rector of I. Arabaev Kyrgyz State University, Bishkek.

Professor Abdyrakhmanov is also engaged in such activities:

• Member of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic;

• Member of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic;

• Member of the National Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic for UNESCO;

• Chairman of the Academic Council of I. Arabaev KSU (since 2010);

• Chairman of the Dissertation Council for the defense of candidate and doctoral dissertations at the Institute of History and Cultural Heritage of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, I. Arabaev KSU, and I. J. Balasagyn KNU (since 2013);

• Member of the Board of Trustees of J. Balasagyn KNU;

• Member of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission (since 2020).

The scientific performance and pedagogical activity of Professor Dr. Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov has been marked by many prestigious national and international awards:

• Honorary Diploma from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic (2013);

• Honorary Diploma from the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic (2015);

• Honorary Diploma from the Jogorku Kengesh of the Kyrgyz Republic (2018);

• The Laureate of the State Award in Science and Technology (2018);

• Honorary Diploma from the Bishkek Mayor's Office (2019);

• Honorary Diploma from the National Security Service of the Kyrgyz Republic;

• “Best Teacher of the Kyrgyz Republic Award” from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic (2018);

• Honorable Member and the Best Employer Award owner from the Profsoyuz organization of the Kyrgyz Republic (2013);

• International Islam Countries Prestige Award Laureate for special performance in science (Baku, Azerbaijan, 2012);

• “For the Achievements in Science in Turkish World Award” Laureate (Eskishehir, Turkey, 2013);

• Politology Professor Award owner (2014), etc.

Recently Professor Dr. Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov was re-elected as the Rector to the I. Arabaev Kyrgyz State University already for the 3rd time. The Professors of the University gave him about 500 votes out of 650.

Among the recent achievements of Professor Abdyrakhmanov:

• Member of the Higher Attestation Committee Presidium (2020);

• Laureate of the State Award on Science and Technology (2018).

He has trained and prepared for defense 5 Habilitated Doctors, 11 Candidates of Sciences and 50 MA students as a supervisor of their research works.

Professor Dr. Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov has over 350 publications, including 17 monographs, 10 collections of documents, 21 textbooks and handbooks for learning.
