Kulazhanov Talgat Kuralbekovich was born on April 22, 1967 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 1991 he graduated from the Almaty branch of Dzhambul Technological Institute of Light and Food Industry (now Almaty Technological University), by specialty "Technology and Catering", having received the qualification "Engineer-Technologist".

In 2001, Talgat Kulazhanov was approved as a Candidate of Economic Sciences with a degree in 08.00.05 "Economy and management of the national economy", and in 2005, he was approved with a degree of Doctor of Science in specialty 05.18.12 «Processes and apparatuses of food production» and 05.18.01 «Technology of processing, storage and processing of cereals, pulses crops, cereal products, horticultural products and viticulture».

In 2006, he was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor, and in 2007 – Professor.

In 2007, Professor Dr. Talgat Kulazhanov was elected Academician of the International Academy of Innovative Technology (IATE, Germany), and later he was elected a corresponding member of International Academy of Engineering (Russia, 2010), Academician of the International Academy of Engineering (Russia, 2011), Academician of the National Academy of Engineering Sciences (2012), a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan (2012), Professor at the International University of Vienna (2008), and a member of the Club of Rectors of Europe (2008).

1998-1999 - Director of "Accept-A" LLP;

1997-2001 - Rector of the Almaty University of Technology and Business;

2001-2002 - Chairman of the Board of the Almaty Technological University;

2002-2007 - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Almaty Technological University;

2007-2014 - President of Almaty Technological University;

2014-present - Rector of Almaty Technological University.

Professor Dr. Kulazhanov is an author of over 183 scientific papers, including 48 monographs and textbooks, 24 patents, 111 scientific articles and conference materials.

Kulazhanov T.K. is one of the leaders of the international programs of Almaty Technological University for the preparation of masters and PhD, conducting scientific research in the framework of the TEMPUS program with the number of universities, among them: Manchester Metropolitan University, Natural Resources Institute of the University of Greenwich (UK), Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), Andong National University and Konkuk University (South Korea), Distance Learning Center (Great Britain), Moscow State University of Food Production and Kemerovo Technological University.

Professor Dr. Talgat Kulazhanov has received several distinctions:
