Darshil Shah is a Senior Associate in the M&A Advisory practice and specializes in Evercore’s global alternative capital business, including SPACs. He has 10+ years’ experience across M&A, Private Equity and Capital Markets.

Later, Darshil Shah was a Private Equity Associate at Amplus Capital (a boutique real estate private firm based in Mumbai, India). At Amplus Capital, he monitored portfolio investments worth $100mn with $300mn+ in revenue and 3mn+ sq. ft. in the area under development and successfully achieved exits with the above industry IRR.

He currently works as a Senior Associate in the M&A (SPAC) team at Evercore, Inc. Mr. Shah is a Senior Deal Member and leads his team's practice in the tech, energy, and Asia sectors.

Darshil Shah has led the execution (working with a broad set of team members) of several multi-billion dollar transactions, including Grab's (a leading South-Asian Tech Conglomerate) $40bn SPAC merger with Altimeter Growth Corporation, which represented the largest SPAC merger and PIPE capital raise in global history. The transaction received widespread media coverage, including his firm getting mentioned in several accolades in renowned finance journals (WSJ / Bloomberg, etc.).

Other selected marquee transactions that Mr. Shah has been part of include Amex GBT's $5bn merger with Apollo Growth Capital, Nextdoor's $4bn merger with Khosla Ventures SPAC, and CCC’s $7bn merger with Dragoneer, which was one of the largest Software SPAC deals.

Darshil Shah has led a crucial leadership role in helping his firm and team achieve a record year on Wall Street driven by innovation and some franchise-changing deals.
