About Winner
Hassan II University of Casablanca (UH2C) is a Moroccan public university resulting from a recent merger on 1st September 2014 of two universities: Hassan II University Ain Chock Casablanca and the Hassan II University Mohammedia – Casablanca.
Hassan II University of Casablanca is now one of the youngest universities in Morocco, but also the largest university in terms of the number of students (108 144), academic staff (2 304) full time, and administrative staff (948) in full time.
The UH2C consists of 18 institutions (3 Faculties of Economics and Law, 3 Faculties of Humanities and Arts, 2 Faculties of Science, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, Faculty of Dental Medicine, 2 Engineering Schools, Business School, 2 Teacher Training Schools, Higher School of Technology, and Higher School of Applied Arts. These institutions are located in 6 campuses: Mohammedia, Ain Sebaa, Ben M'sik, Ain Chok, Route d'El Jadida and quartier des Hôpitaux.
The training offer covers several areas within 381 programs (DUT, Engineering, Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, and Medical doctorate, Ph.D.). The scientific research is organized through different scientific structures, including 123 laboratories, 10 Ph.D. Schools, 10 Research Topics Centers, 4 Competence Centers accredited by the Ministry, 2 Platforms of Research, and the Observatory ORDIPU (Observatoire de recherche en didactique et Pédagogie universitaire).
Recent Achievements
The last three years have seen an acceleration of change in the way Hassan II University of Casablanca (UH2C) has been governed, led, and managed.
The new development project set up by Professor Aawatif Hayar, the President of the University, has brought an innovative approach based on digital transformation and the green and inclusive campus transformation (Smart, Green and Inclusive University).
UH2C has created since 2019 a dynamic of change-making its campuses Green, Smart, and Inclusive and is committed to environmental and societal innovation, by involving all of its students, teachers, and technical and administrative staff.
The social and environmental impacts generated by the innovation process made by Hassan II University of Casablanca:
